I guess it's only natural that since I make a living writing about shoes, I'm often asked to name my favorite shoe brands and designers.

Honestly, the answer depends on the day the question is asked.

One of the joys of this work is that I'm constantly learning about new shoe brands and designers, and falling in love all over again.

But, since you did ask, or cared enough to read thus far, here are a few of my current favorites.

Gina Shoes

I don't have many fantasies about winning the lottery - for one thing, I don't even play the lottery. But I do have fantasies about Gina shoes. If I owned an outfit worthy of them, I'd have trouble deciding which pair I'd buy first. Encrusted with crystals; shimmering and elegant, Gina shoes, for me, epitomize luxury. 

Giuseppe Zanotti

It never fails that when I'm searching through catalogs of shoes to write about, I'll stop and stare, and ooh and ahh at nearly anything Giuseppe Zanotti has to offer. Brimming with pomp and circumstance, these shoes inspire the artist in me. I'm especially fond of the many styles that make liberal use of jewels.

Nine West

Without a doubt, my biggest go-to brand is Nine West. In addition to being reasonably-priced and incredibly comfortable, Nine West always offers some of the best examples of the most current trends. 

Christian Louboutin

Natch ... I mean, who doesn't love Christian Louboutin, right? Daring, sexy, and with sizzling red soles to boot -- this man's clearly been reading my diary.

Adidas

I spend more time in sneakers than I do any other type of shoe, and I spend more time in Adidas than I do any other sneaker brand. Whether they're serving up retro styles, or cutting the modern edge, they're like a magnet for me,brand sneakers online. 

Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars

I couldn't mention sneakers without mentioning my first love: Converse "Chucks." Though the means by which we get Converse shoes have changed dramatically over the last decade or so, the streamlined classic will always be one of my favorites. Full of history and tradition, these shoes have an iconic urban look I love, and they speak of the lifestyle I embrace. 

Doc Martens

The secret's out: I'm a closet punk/goth girl, and I love Doc Martens. They remind me of grunge, the nineties, and nearly everything good in life -- plus, they're extremely comfortable.
